Welcome
Selecting a church home is one of the most important decisions a Christian can make. But all churches are not the same. As different as each of our personalities, so are the distinctions that distinguish churches from one another. So when you make your choice you should think of a few critically important factors.
Choose a church whose ministry shows a willingness to understand you and your station in life. Ultimately, a church should help you cope with the kinds of pressures of life we all face each day. Your church home should be a foundation in your week that gives you strength and tranquility. Your church should offer support when you have obstacles, peace when you need to be settled down and guidance when you feel lost.
The Pastor of a Church is a personification of its ministry. Here at Bread of Life, our Pastor Dr. James R. Davis, is a scholarly man of God. Dr. Davis' studies and research gives him a unique perspective on the Christian life. Dr. Davis' ministry extends for over 30 years. While Dr. Davis' credentials as a Christian scholar are widely known, he is approachable and friendly in every way. One of the marks of a Christian is friendliness. Dr. Davis exemplifies the Word of God in his everyday life. On most occasions, you will find Dr. Davis working to help improve the lives of the community and its citizens. Whether he is an advocate in board rooms or attending to the needs of impoverish persons, Dr. Davis' ministry is fixated on following the laws of God. Choosing a Church home is a serious decision. Moreover, giving your life to Jesus is more important. Make the right decision today. Your life will be blessed for it.
Scripture
“Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you Overseers, to feed the Church of God, which He purchased with His own blood….. For I know this, that after my departing grievous wolves shall enter in among you, not sparing the flock….Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them….Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears…..And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified….I have coveted no man’silver, or gold, or apparel….Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me….I have shown you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how He said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20: 28-35
“Because of our trust and faithfulness to God, He led us to the above Scriptural text in Acts 20:28-35, as means by which we are to accomplish the task that have been placed in our charge. And appropriately, Bread of Life Christian Church and Community Center, Inc. was the name God placed in my spirit for our Church. The Great Commission states in Matthew 28:19, 20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
